"It's the same old tissue, honey, it does not make a distinction, ok? It's still going to work the exact same method", my exasperated hubby hissed into my ear as I got containers after cartons of some 'designer' tissue. DESIGNER TISSUE! Hah, can you even hear me state that? I can't believe I really composed 'designer tissue'. Yes, for a graphic designer and writer who understands all about the kind of effort one puts into product packaging and branding products, I sure fell for it. All the hoopla. The shenanigans. The 'suck 'em in with great copy and fab color combination'. Hey, I am still a customer, remember that. I am entitled to succumb to great product packaging, I have a dominating right to be human.

However they are so quite ... the product packaging. I swear!

They have the 'nature lover' packaging, the 'fruity' product packaging, the 'woman on the go' product packaging, and then they have the 'kids' packaging. I got 4 of each design packages and made a run for the counter with them with my shouting kids and exasperated hubby pursuing me in slow movement. It was definitely a 'die-hard' moment. You understand, when the hero is running away from a bunch of wild bad guys with gatling gun, and they're contending your feet or something ... and there's a surge behind you ... and everything occurs in ssslllloooowwwww mmmmooooottttttiiiioooonnnnn.

Well, in this case, I was running for checkout with boxes of tissue paper with expensive packaging styles on them. I would find it humorous enough if I didn't like the packaging creates so much. But I am dead major. In fact, I liked the product packaging develops a lot, after using up all the tissues in packages, I would eliminate the styles and put it into my 'needs to keep for reference' clear folder. I don't keep a great deal of stuff in there since I am pretty selective about the designs that I like, however these product packaging styles made it. They definitely did.
